Why don’t we use caste surnames in Tamil Nadu?
The reason for not using caste surname is totally different. TN is the land of Social justice. After the self respect movement, we stopped putting caste name next to our name. Instead we use our father’s name or father’s initial. It is shameful to ask someone’s caste in TN. We are proud of our social justice movements.
