Why does the military use latrine?
The term “latrine” is still commonly used military parlance, less so in civilian usage except in emergency sanitation situations. The use of latrines was a major advancement in sanitation over more basic practices such as open defecation, and helped control the spread of many waterborne diseases.

Latrine Duty: The obligation for an army camp to have latrines. When going to war, the army had to designate a place to serve as latrines for the troops. Doing so kept the soldiers from taking care of their bathroom needs just anywhere.

In basic training, you take group showers. There’s no way out of communal showers. They’re required. Everyone in your barracks will enter the shower room assigned to your barracks when commanded.

In my enlisted days, as noted before, latrine duty was just one of those things that had to be done, and usually was done on a rotating basis. Saved for the hapless EM who annoyed the First Sergeant was the “grease trap” which was off the mess hall.
What happens after the Army recruiting course?
Upon completion of the Army Recruiting Course (ARC), you will be trained and ready to perform your duties as a Recruiter. However, your training will not end with the ARC. You will be placed in a six month transitional program, called the New Recruiter Program.
Does the US Army Recruiting Command have overseas recruiting centers?
A: US Army Recruiting Command does, in fact, have recruiting centers in overseas (OCONUS) locations. These assignments are not traditionally available to detail Recruiters.
Does the US Army give letters of acceptance to new battalions?
A: NO, it does not. The battalions do not grant the assignments. All of our assignments are given at the USAREC, G1. Letters of acceptance are not supposed to be issued.
