When should I start Dawnguard and Dragonborn?
Dawnguard has a minimum level requirement of 10. I’d recommend waiting until 15-20 though since some of the quests are long and tough (lots of trekking through falmer infested territory). Hearthfire can be started at any time as its simply a material collection quest to build a house.
When should I join the Dawnguard?
Again, we recommend you wait until Level 10 – the game naturally builds up to the Dawnguard content by having vampires appear from level 7 up, and rumours of the Dawnguard will appear from Level 10 on, thus helping you to get wind of the quest line.
Should I do the main quest before Dawnguard?
It shouldn’t really matter, regardless of which faction you choose in Dawnguard. (The two questlines meet at certain points, and those points are when you can mention being Dragonborn.)
What level should I be to fight Miraak?
As far as the levels in usually at level 70-80 when I finally fight him due to the dragon I have killed. Just don’t do his questline load up on the dragons souls then go after him.
What do you get for beating Dawnguard?
The unique benefits of joining the Dawnguard include full access to Fort Dawnguard, various new weapons, armor, and spells to help fight vampires, such as crossbows, Dawnguard armor, and faction-specific spells such as Sun Damage and Vampire’s Bane.
Can I play Dawnguard and Dragonborn at the same time?
When you start dealing with named vampire NPCs, that’s Dawnguard (although there are a couple named vampires in the main game, but no major plots). If you traveled to Solstheim, that’s Dragonborn. The DLC quests are independent of the main quests so you can’t accidentally mix them up.
What happens if you get the Dragon Elder Scroll before the main quest?
It works perfectly well – when you get the Elder Scroll, the quest will automatically update to the appropriate point. The drawback is that all your quest markers will still be telling you to go to Alftand, so you’ll have to navigate Raldbthar/Mzinchaleft by yourself.
