What is the difference between facts and feelings?
The facts, in and of themselves, are objective, but our subjective thoughts can turn simple truths into complex sources of feelings and further thought. Feelings, inspiring responses, can eventually yield facts through the consequences of any thoughts, statements made, or actions taken.
Why are feelings so important?
Emotions help us to communicate with others, such as when we feel sad and need some help. They also can help us to act quickly in important situations. For example, when you’re about to cross the street and see a car coming quickly, fear gets you to jump back onto the curb.
What does the Bible say about facts and feelings?
Proverbs 12:15 says the way of the fool is right in his own eyes. God gave us our feelings and emotions for a reason. They are not evil by themselves, but what we allow our thoughts to dwell on may be negative and causing an unhealthy overload of negative emotions.
Are feelings just feelings?

Are feelings really facts?
It is wise to remember that, as important as emotions are, feelings aren’t facts. Many things may produce an emotional response. Some are in the moment, others are from our past, and many people get destabilized worrying about the uncertain future.
Why are feelings important?
Feelings are important because they are largely responsible for our entire experience of life. It’s our feelings that determine whether we are happy or sad, content or frustrated. There is no shortage of examples of people who seem to have it all, yet feel unhappy, unfulfilled and depressed.
Are feelings bad things?
Feelings are not bad things. Our emotions are central to our humanity. When we get our facts correct and integrate them appropriately with our feelings, our actions can help wonderful things happen in our personal, professional, and civic lives.
