What is karmic reaction?
The law of karma says that every action causes a reaction. However, because of the complicated nature of the universe, it is impossible to predict what that reaction might be. If our actions are harmonious, compassionate and loving, the karmic reaction will cause these kinds of energies to come back to us.
Are animals subject to karma?
Because of their lack of moral values, animals can be said to be subjected to karma passively – in the same way, for example as mentally challenged humans. Animals such as mice are recognised as being ‘feeder animals’. While some eat ‘pet food’ others eat other animals.
Are there laws of nature and Karma?
Just as there are government laws, so there are laws of nature, or God Laws. If we kill then that binds us to Karma, and we will get the reaction. The analogy of Karma means ‘To every action there is an equal opposite reaction’.
Can animals create new karma?
Animals cannot create new karma because they are completely controlled by their nature. Similar to criminals incarcerated by the state, souls wearing animal bodies serve out their karmic sentences until they again are eligible for a human form of life, in which they will be given another chance to act responsibly and progress toward liberation.
What is karma and how does it work?
Each change of body is just another cloak of karma appearing as physical and emotional characteristics, such as parents, nationality, spouse, children, friends, fortune, fame, health, and finally the time and circumstances of one’s death.
Do embodied souls accrue Karma?
Embodied souls pass through many species of life, but only as human beings do they accrue karma, as only in that condition is one’s free will fully manifest. With that free will comes responsibility. Humans who misuse their free will have to loose it, at least for a time.
