Is intro to logic a hard class?
Many students have a hard time adjusting from “common sense” to LSAT formal logic. You’ll learn some concepts you’ll need on the LSAT. Symbolic logic and basic conditionality can be hard to understand for newbies, and a course will help you understand them. Logic courses can be a very challenging but enjoyable class.
Is logic in philosophy difficult?
Logic is the philosophy study of making proper arguments and validity of statements. Logic by far is the most challenging part in philosophy I’ve ever read. I only did a bit of mathematical logic in the study of mathematical proofs, plus some side reading for fun.
How do you pass the logic intro?
If you want to pass your logic class, you’ll still need to do the basics: attend class, do your reading, and complete all the homework. If you are already afraid of the subject matter, avoiding it, will only make it harder.

What is covered in a logic class?
Logic is part reading comprehension and part math, but more practical and more fun, (unless you’re already a math lover). Similar to how we solve math equations, we analyze arguments using logic to determine whether the given information leads to a good conclusion.
Is taking an intro to philosophy course a good idea?
For starters, I think taking an Intro to Philosophy course is a great idea. it will give you a good overview of the major schools of thought in philosophy and philosophy courses have a tendency to broaden one’s mind. So I would highly recommend taking this course. Although, if your school has an Intro to Ethics course that would be easier.
How hard is a philosophy class?
The easiness or hardness of a philosophy course depends largely on the professor. I think the most important thing to get right is the professor. Much like math classes, a good professor will make or break a philosophy course. I would recommend doing a little bit of research on the professors.
What is logic in philosophy?
Logic is the main tool in philosophy. Logic outlines the ways in which claims can and cannot be related. If you’ve ever heard of logical fallacies, then you’re already familiar with some of the ways in which claims cannot be related. But there is more to philosophy than understanding the relationship between the claims of arguments.
Is philosophy a well-taught subject?
The well-taught part is key, of course. An education in philosophy, even a basic one, can complement any other pursuit and moreover will be a significant advantage in the overarching pursuit of a life-well-lived.
