Why is geology considered a science?
For me geology is a science because it deals in a scientific way with matters not addressed directly by any of the other sciences. However I do not consider it a fundamental science like physics. i tend to agree at least in spirit with the earlyv20th century physicist who said physics was the only science, everything else was jus stamp collecting.
