How will you explain that there is no such thing as absolute motion of absolute rest?
Rest and motion are always relative. A body cannot exist at a state of absolute rest or absolute motion. For example, two persons sitting in a moving bus are at rest w.r.t each other but are in motion w.r.t. a person standing on the roadside. Thus, there is no object which can be condisered to be at absolute rest.
How did Einstein prove relativity?
Einstein postulated three ways this theory could be proved. One was by observing the stars during a total solar eclipse. The sun is our closest strong gravitational field. Light traveling from a star through space and passing the sun’s field would be bent, if Einstein’s theory were true.
How did Einstein come up with relativity?
Einstein then wondered how light would behave in the accelerating room. In his four papers, published in November 1915, Einstein laid the foundation of the theory. In the third in particular he used general relativity to explain the precession of the perihelion of Mercury.
What did Einstein say about the theory of relativity?
Albert Einstein, in his theory of special relativity, determined that the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers, and he showed that the speed of light within a vacuum is the same no matter the speed at which an observer travels, according to Wired.
What is the speed of light according to Einstein’s theory?
Einstein’s special theory of relativity states that the light velocity is the highest speed in this universe or nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. And the velocity of light is constant or light always travels at the same speed as ‘a revelation of universal law’.
What did Albert Einstein say about ether?
Albert Einstein said: “Recapitulating, we may say that according to the general theory of relativity space is endowed with physical qualities; in this sense, therefore, there exists an ether.
Can We challenge Newton’s theory of absolute space?
At least, no natural philosopher or physicist offered a serious challenge to Newton’s absolute space, in the sense of offering a rival theory that dispenses with it. But like the action at a distance in Newtonian gravity, absolute space continued to provoke philosophical unease.
What is the conflict between Einstein’s general relativity and special relativity?
Einstein’s general relativity resolved conflicts between Newton theory of gravity and the special theory of relativity. But ……..make a big conflict with his special relativity itself about the existing of ether. In special relativity Einstein rejecting the ether theory: ether do not exist.
