Overall the job wasn’t very hard, but by the time I went home I was mentally drained not wanting to do anything else but to relax. If it’s a first job I’d say go for it just for the experience on your resume. Other then that the job has nothing else to offer.

You go through mandatory training courses, which are online and will have to be completed at the store, but you do get paid for those! I’ve heard not-so-great things about Staples, but quite honestly, and maybe, unfortunately, I think it all depends on which store you end up working at.
Why is Staples so bad at running their stores?
Staples cooperate does not care about individual stores. They only care about making as much money as possible. They use ridiculous metrics as a bases for how many hours they give each store. They also don’t provide stores the resources they need to run each store as smoothly as possible.
