How do you define your real self?
In psychology, the real self and the ideal self are terms used to describe personality domains. The real self is who we actually are. It is how we think, how we feel, look, and act. The real self can be seen by others, but because we have no way of truly knowing how others view us, the real self is our self-image.
How does your self-image reflect your real self?
Our self-image is all about how we see ourselves. It gives us a sense of our personality and helps gives us clarity and understanding about our life. Self-image also determines what kind of person we think we are and what we believe others think about us.
Do you see your ideal self or your actual self?
“Actual self” is the way in which a person sees himself now. “Ideal self” is the way in which a person would like to see himself. “Social self” is the way in which a person believes others see him.
Why do we need to know our real self?
Before we can develop a healthy lifestyle, relationship and perspective on life, we need to examine the connection we have with our inner selves. Knowing your true self facilitates decision making. Making choices about your career, relationships and finance is easier when you know what is important to you.
