How do I know if I can make it through law school?
Here are eight simple questions to ask when trying to decide if law school is right for you.
- Why do you want to go to law school?
- What is your undergraduate major?
- Are you planning to take time off between college and law school?
- Where do you want to go/what do you want to do after you finish law school?
Should you go to law school where you want to practice?
Contrary to what you may have heard, you aren’t required to study law in the state in which you will practice. If you graduate from any ABA-accredited law school, you are authorized to take the bar exam in any state. Nor do you need to go to a local law school to learn the idiosyncrasies of local law.
What interests should a lawyer have?
Law (main motivation: serving and protecting society)
- applying rules and regulations.
- influencing people.
- legal matters.
- persuading people.
- protecting others.
- social justice.
- solving difficult situations.
- working with those who have lost direction.
Do you have to learn the law to become a lawyer?
Not only do you have to learn the law, but you also have to learn an entirely new system of learning and applying information. Second, law school skills are cumulative. This means if you have gaps in your first year foundational skills, you will have trouble getting ahead in your remaining years and on the bar exam.

How can I study law without getting bored?
Work hard, work smart, be organised The workload becomes easier if you are well organised and focus on working efficiently. Planning ahead early and prioritising work over play avoids dreaded all-nighters. When reading, one should focus on the end goal: learning the law in order to apply it correctly in an exam.
Are there any people who are down on lawyers?
There are many people who are down on lawyers and the legal profession in general. We need young, smart, and motivated people like you to attend law school and shake things up. However, law school is no walk in the park, and the most successful students know what they are signing up for before they get there.
