Does having a college degree mean anything?
Earning a college degree is such an important step in life that it has become a central part of the “American Dream”. The benefits of a college education include career opportunities like better paying and higher skilled jobs, but studies have shown that it also leads to overall happiness and stability.

Degree means nothing IS NOT THE SAME AS you don’t need a degree. It is the same as Only a degree gets you nowhere. This is because the education and examination systems have been hacked in most parts of the world. Consequently, a person with negligible knowledge can also get a degree.

While college graduates typically make more and enjoy more employee benefits, this is not always the case. A degree can certainly increase your chances of success, but it does not guarantee anything. I hire people all the time who don’t have college degrees; but I would definitely think twice on hiring someone who didn’t finish something they had almost started. The only time I did hire someone who quit college with a year left, I ended up regretting it. Three months into the job he just quit when things got a little bit hard.

Presumably, you are somehow passing in spite of “learning nothing at all”. You have invested too much time and money already and you are almost finished. It would be a mistake to drop out now. College should be about immersing yourself in ideas.
What motivates you to go to college?
One of my main motivations was actually in proving some family members wrong; and moving on with my life because I got engaged my sophomore year in school. When I started viewing college as something to get through and done with; I actually got a much higher sense of accomplishment.
