Do universities Recognise core maths?
In a situation where a student has not met the minimum GCSE maths requirement, some universities may accept the Core Maths qualification instead. The University welcomes and recognises the value of Level 3 core mathematics qualifications (eg AQA Certificate in Mathematical Studies).

What is the difference between core Maths and Maths?
Core Maths is intended for students who have passed GCSE Mathematics at grade 4 or better, but who have not chosen to study AS or A level Mathematics. It can be studied in a single year or over a two-year period and can be taken alongside A levels or other qualifications, including vocational courses.
Is IGCSE accepted in USA universities?
Yes, most American universities accept the IGCSE certification and regard it as a completion of your schooling. Some colleges will even accept the O Level as the completion of your schooling. Grades up to C are accepted.
Does Oxford accept IGCSE?

Students who want to study a science subject for A Level, should study that subject as a single IGCSE course but IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences (double) may be accepted. Students should allow time for Tutors to mark each assignment (3-5 working days).
Is Cambridge IGCSE suitable for me?

Which further maths course should I take after IGCSE?
Both IGCSE Mathematics (Extended)/International Mathematics (Extended) and Additional Mathematics should be taken for that reason. After IGCSEs, if you are taking A levels, take Mathematics, and if you are taking IB, take Mathematics HL. The Further Maths courses in both syllabus would be helpful but not totally required.
