The good news is that you can absolutely foster as a single carer. Specific criteria will vary across agencies but, generally speaking, marital status is not a cause for concern. If you can offer a child a loving, supportive and safe home, there is a good chance that you can become a foster carer.

It’s not a middle of the road option. It is a shit situation that is better than other shit situations. Now again I am a foster parent, and I love the kids we take care of. They are safe, fed, cared for and loved. They are not abused, neglected, or harmed in any way here, but still, it’s a horrible situation.
