As the title suggests, there is no secret to success without hard work. The discipline applied to developing any new habit must be strong enough to overcome any mental and physical obstacles old habits hold against achieving success.
Does luck lead to success?
However, there’s more to luck than just chance. Luck, they say, is what happens when “preparation meets opportunity”. Luck may be a factor in career success, but there are other more defining factors – talent, skills, application and hard work. Lucky people are more likely to notice, create and act on opportunities.

I carried out a simple experiment to discover whether this was due to differences in their ability to spot such opportunities. I gave both lucky and unlucky people a newspaper, and asked them to look through it and tell me how many photographs were inside.
