Some suffering in life cannot be avoided. The emotional suffering attached to everything—from accidentally stubbing one’s toe to saying goodbye to our loved ones and to life at the moment of our deaths—is a built-in part of the human program.

Does suffering outweigh happiness?
One reason to focus more on reducing suffering than creating happiness is that suffering seems easier to prevent. Another motivation for focusing on suffering is that suffering seems more severe. In the life of a given organism, the most intense negative experiences typically outweigh the most intense positive ones.
What are some things that are worth dying for?
Love for someone is worth dying for. Love for any person or as in above case, love for motherland. Dreams are worth dying for. If you’ve got a dream and your dying can help it’s purpose, then it’s worth dying for. Many freedom fighters died cause they dreamt of free India. I’d also like to write things that are not worth dying for.
Are our sufferings worthy to be compared with the glory?
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward. For I give counsel that the sufferings of this time are not comparable to the glory which is going to be revealed in us. I am sure what we are suffering now cannot compare with the glory that will be shown to us.

Everyone suffers. It’s part of the human condition. Yet suffering can be the doorway to your personal evolution, to growth and expansion, if you choose to shift your thoughts and perceptions. We are the creators of our suffering.
