Can unconditional love fade away?
From a philosophical perspective, if conditions never change, you might never know whether your love truly is unconditional. In reality, love grows and shifts over time. It can also fade, through no fault of anyone involved.
Can you fall back in love with someone after they hurt you?
Yes it’s perfectly possible and ok to still love someone that broke our heart. I say this because it’s usually not intentional when someone breaks our heart. Also, a person might want to seek forgiveness for breaking our hearts. The reason that we love a person doesn’t just disappear because they disappointed us.
Is it possible to love unconditionally?
The ideal of unconditional love is a noble one. We want to be loved as we are, and perhaps we’d like to see ourselves as capable of selfless love. Unfortunately, loving unconditionally may set us up for disappointment and shame when our ideal doesn’t match the reality of how difficult — or perhaps impossible — it is to love unconditionally.
What is the difference between unconditional love and romantic love?
You love this person wholeheartedly, and nothing is going to change that. Unconditional love means that you accept one’s faults without judgment. While romantic love between two people is a means to love unconditionally, the concept of unconditional love refers to one or both individuals loving the other and expecting nothing back.
What is the difference between unconditional love and manipulation?
The love you feel is the result of the manipulation from the abuser and your own personal anxieties about life without them. Unconditional love is meant to overlook the little annoyances in a relationship, like eating the last donut and leaving the empty box on the counter or forgetting to put the toilet seat down.
When should you end a relationship?
When hurt comes in continuously, or when abuse and cheating are involved, commitment should end. Unconditional love is never easy; but with a little bit of practice, it’s reachable. If you’ve never received unconditional love, it can become hard to then give it out.
