Can 13 year olds pet sit?
A usual rule of thumb is at least 14 years old. If you want to be part of pet sitter organizations like Rover or Wag! you will need to be 18 years old. If you want to go on doing house and pet sitting for longer periods and want to be a member of the big house sit organizations, you have to be 18 years old.
Can you pet sit at 12 years old?
There is no specific age that you have to be in order to do those things. I started babysitting when I was 12 and worked my way up to pet sitting. Surprisingly, people are more likely to allow you to watch their kids rather than their pets.
What do you do when pet sitting?
During the pet-sitting visits, pet sitters perform a variety of tasks, including:
- Feeding the pets and changing their water bowls.
- Providing exercise and play time (may include walking the dog)
- Cleaning litter boxes and cleaning up any other pet messes.

One of the best things about pet sitters is that, while you are away, your pets remain in the comfort of their own home while receiving the optimal amount of care and attention. You do not have to worry about your pets being around other animals or in a new environment with a pet sitter in control.
