Are Chinese and Korean the same genetically?
These estimations based on genomic data indicate Han Chinese, Japanese and Korean people are genetically closely-related and derived their ancestry from a common gene pool.
Where do Koreans come from?

Another study shows that the northern and southern Han Chinese are genetically closest to each other and it finds that the genetic characteristics of present-day northern Han Chinese were already formed as early as three thousand years ago in the Central Plain area.
