Why is eating plants not cruel?
Plants aren’t inanimate objects — just like animals, they are living, breathing things too. But since plants don’t seem to make a sound when they are plucked, cooked, popped into the mouth and chewed, the foam-in-the-mouth “animal rights” defenders think (so conveniently) that there is no cruelty in eating plants.
Do vegetables get hurt?
The simple answer is that, currently, no one is sure whether plants can feel pain. We do know that they can feel sensations. But plants don’t have that ability—nor do they have nervous systems or brains—so they may have no biological need to feel pain.
Do plants feel pain when you cut them?
No, plants cannot feel pain. There is no possible way for that to happen without a central nervous system.
Why are some people okay with killing plants?
People are ok with killing plants because they LIKE to believe that plants can’t feel since they don’t have features that display their emotions or the ability to make sounds of pain or fear. Most humans can’t ‘hear’ or feel plant emotions, but I can.
Why shouldn’t we eat plants?
When we eat living beings with more than one-sense, we become much more liable and accountable for that animal’s slaughter. It is like we are becoming equally responsible for that animals’ death. Whereas in eating plants, the liability is negligible as they are the dormant, one-sensed living beings.
What would happen if there were no plants?
Without plants, there is no oxygen – nothing else on earth can produce oxygen, and no animal survives without plant for food, not even a tiger – in the cycle of life, the deer a tiger feeds on has to depend and flourish on the strength of the flora around, which is what we call biodiversity.
Do plants feel pain when they are killed?
