Why do we need to talk to God?
God talks to us through His word and the Holy Spirit in us. He helps us understand His word and apply it to our lives. It’s through prayer that we communicate back to God. It is very important for a Christian to develop a strong prayer life.
How do you ask God?
Ask God specifically for what you want. Tell God what you want or need and ask Him to provide that for you. Be specific about your request. Even though God knows what you want and need, He wants you to ask Him for it. God can answer vague prayers, but being specific creates a deeper bond between you and Him.
Does God know the answers to all the questions he asks?

Does God know where you are?
This is a question God asked Adam in Genesis 3:9 when Adam was hiding in the bushes—even though God knew exactly where Adam was hiding—and it’s a question the Lord continues to ask you today. Make no mistake about it: God knows exactly where you are!
Why did Jesus ask the disciples ‘who do you say that I am?
Why did Jesus ask the disciples, ‘Who do you say that I am?’ As is the case most times when Jesus asks a question, He asked the disciples “Who do you say that I am?” because He wanted to reveal the truth to them through the answer. Jesus asks this question in Luke 9:20 (see also Matthew 16:13; Mark 8:27 ).
Who do you say that I Am according to the Bible?
Jesus asked the disciples “Who do you say that I am?” in order to give them an opportunity to assess the true level of their faith. Upon hearing such a bold response from Peter, Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven” ( Matthew 16:17 ).
