What is a mystic in spirituality?
Mysticism is the belief that God or spiritual truths can be known through individual insight, rather than by reasoning or study. All the major religions include some form of mysticism. A person who has mystical experiences is called a mystic. During these experiences, mystics may feel ecstasy or great peace.
Is everyone a mystic?
Anyone can be an ordinary mystic. You may not experience a regular loss of ego and absorption in the divine, but now and then you may feel lifted out of your body and become lost in a beautiful piece of art or scene in nature. As a parent, you may have a moment of bliss as you step back and look at your children.
What is the mystical understanding of Christianity?
The general mystical understanding of Christianity is that Jesus was deeply misunderstood. Jesus’ true gospel was the mystical realisation that all beings are manifestations of the divine, and are therefore whole and complete by the simple fact of their existence.
What is the difference between mysticism and religion?
Only a true mystic could have spoken these words. The main difference between mysticism and mainstream religion is that mysticism says the key to salvation is to raise our state of consicousness. The key to our salvation is found inside ourselves and we have everything we need internally to manifest this goal.
Was Jesus a pantheist?
The tell tale sign of a mystic is pantheism, and although most Christians would never dare to think it, Jesus was, in fact, a pantheist.
How is Jesus Christ interpreted differently?
Jesus Christ has been interpreted differently in Christianity. The mainstream belief is that he is a God sent on earth in human flesh. But some Christians actually deny that he was a God. Some even say that Jesus Christ wasn’t born miraculously and what not. Anyway, the reason why I mentioned this is because it reflects on his spiritual divinity.
