What have you learned about yourself as an educator?
Through the experiences I have had in the classroom I have come to learn a lot about myself as a teacher. I have learned that I expect a lot from my students. I have a very positive outlook for my students. I show them that they each are capable of achieving great things in life and that they have the ability to do it.
What does learning about myself mean?
To learn about yourself is to provide yourself direction and depth. This is important in a time where most coast through life. I know from my own experiences that I had a rougher time learning about myself.
What you learn while being a teacher?
You teach children how to be independent and organized in life. You teach children what matters to them and what their interests are. You teach children how to have good manners and how to be responsible for their own actions. You teach children how to apologize to others and learn from their mistakes/actions.

How do you feel about learning new things?
Learning a new skill is often an extremely rewarding experience. If it’s something you like, you’ll quickly notice yourself improving, which can give you a great confidence boost. In most cases, trying something new is often about overcoming fear.

Do you take time to reflect on your year?
Well, I know it’s not the New Year, which is when yearly reflection usually takes place, but seeing as I enjoy going deep-sea diving with my thoughts, I felt it appropriate to take my own time and reflect on some things I’ve learned over the past year about myself.

What has today’s training taught you about yourself?
Just as you lay your head on your pillow and your brain slips into that deeper zone, your awareness reveals that whilst today’s training course added skills to your portfolio, it was the fact that you found the courage, confidence and leadership to lead the team through the biggest project they’d ever faced that taught you about you.
