How many years we can serve in Ota?
Both men and women can apply for OTA in CDS Recruitment. OTA is also called a Short Service Commission. In OTA, candidates are allowed to stay in service for 10 to 14 years. Candidates have to apply for a permanent commission if they want to work for more than 14 years of commission.
Can Ota become permanent?
Male officers who are willing to continue to serve in the Army after the expiry of period of ten years Short Service Commission may, if eligible and suitable in all respects, be considered for the grant of permanent Commission in the 10th year of their Short Service Commission in accordance with the relevant rules.
Do CDS Ota get permanent commission?
As the name suggests in Short Service Commission the candidate can be an officer for 10 years which can be extended till 14 years. After 14 years the officer will be given the option to shift to the permanent commission which is the Indian Army.
Is mobile phone allowed in OTA?

What are the benefits of SSC in the Indian Army?
I think the biggest benefit is the flexible exit option.Through SSC you can leave the army after putting required amount of service.Even though minimum service period is 10 years you can leave after 7 years also.Which means you can leave either in 7/10/14 years.
