Does MIT accept portfolio?
Yes, you’re welcome to include a portfolio. Visual artists, makers, performing artists, and researchers may send portfolios for review by MIT staff or faculty through Slideroom.
Can you submit more than one portfolio to MIT?
You may document one project or many, and your work may have been done inside, or outside, of school, and alone or with a team; just make sure you explain it to us!
Should I submit supplemental materials to college?
In general, supplemental materials are not required. Therefore, it would not be fair for committees to evaluate them for some students and not others. Most counselors don’t even have time to look at the supplemental materials.
Should I submit a portfolio to Tufts?
Yes, a portfolio is required. I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program or combined degree with the SMFA at Tufts, and the admissions office needs to know that I’m prepared for success when 2/3 of my class time will be spent in studio courses. Continue your adventure below.
