Acting is a tough but extremely rewarding, and most importantly, fun career choice. A lot of people dream to be actors and join the elite of Hollywood A-listers, but the path is not for everybody.

To be an effective and popular actor, you have to be an ardent and diligent worker. Dedicated work goes beyond the point of success. One of the most significant characteristics of a great actor is creative and inspirational vision. Actors need creative and original ideas which are useful on set.
Is being an actor a difficult job?
In most cases, it is. The difficulties presented by each job are different, and we acknowledge that to each other. We think about the skill set involved and say “I couldn’t do that”. Few jobs, however, are as misunderstood as that of a professional actor. Part of the underestimation is rooted in a basic view of acting as “the art of lying”.

If you are talking about making a living as an actor, the answer is that it is all but impossible, unless you are very young or exceptionally attractive, ideally both. The Internet is still its infancy, and SAG-AFTRA has not been able to negotiate a decent wage for union members appearing in online content (as well as video games).

But having seen it first hand, while they have what most of us would treasure, life is still life, and it can be rough and living in the limelight makes it all the more difficult. Now there’s the other side of the spectrum. The actors that are struggling to make it. If they are lucky, they’ve had some speaking roles in film and television.

If you know me at all, you know that the prior statement is preposterous because YOU following YOUR dream of becoming an actor is what I’m all about. It’s what I stand for. It’s what I INSIST you give yourself because you deserve to live a joyous life where your dreams are not dreams but your reality.
