What am I supposed to see when I meditate?
As you go deeper in meditation, however, you can see lights and forms that are part of the essential “geography” of the inner world, the subtle body. Many meditators see a golden light, or a pale blue dot, or a single eye. Others see geometric grids of light. Others will have a glimpse of a sagelike figure or a deity.
What do you see when your eyes are closed?
When you close your eyes, you may be able to “see” colors, shapes, and light. Some of the images may also move or create a swirling effect. Such visual effects are sometimes called closed eye hallucinations because such objects aren’t literally in front of you.
Can other people see your visions when you meditate?
For the people who do notice visions mid-meditation, other people will be unable to view them. In other words, the visions you receive are only for you; they’re your own mental images. These visions present themselves when your practice takes you between wakefulness and sleep. But don’t feel nervous.

Phosphenes are a combination of mechanical, electrical or magnetic stimulation that, even though they are considered a phenomenon, are very real. In other words, anytime you want to see something spectacular, just try closing your eyes.
Why do I see a pinpoint on my forehead during meditation?
It often happens when you are close to your spiritual self, and at that time, you come across visions during meditation. There can be different kinds of light that you see as visions during meditation. It can be a bright white light. The size of a pinpoint appears on the forehead at the space between the eyebrows.

Visions don’t occur during meditation merely for our optical enjoyment. They can, in fact, have meaning. Depending on the vision you see, it could mean different things. For example, if you notice a vision of an eye, this is a sign that your third eye is starting to open.
