Can we live without Education?
Life is incomplete without education. Education is essential for success. It is as important as our life as it helps us to overcome all the obstacles in our life and gives the power to do things confidently. It plays major role in everyone’s one in developing one’s knowledge, skill and personality.
Do subjects at school prepare you for life?
The subjects offered at school do not necessarily prepare you for life, but they should be preparing you to think. The same is true for any subject taught in school that does not directly relate to an adult’s career path. Real life is mostly about being able to problem-solve, make decisions, and learn from mistakes.
Does school prepare you for future life?
Although schools do expose students to valuable skills such as perseverance, responsibility, and social skills, they do not account for the skills used in day-to-day life. Schools do not put enough effort into making sure students have a plan after high school.
Why don’t schools prepare you for the real world?
And the last, but certainly not the least important reason why a school doesn’t prepare you for the real world is related to your home. You need to be able to feed yourself, and almost everyone I know is incredibly confused when they enter the kitchen, let alone when they start using a knife or a pan.
Should life skills be taught in high school?
But it’s not just about communication. There are many other life skills that I think should be taught in our educational system from kindergarten through high school. And the earlier the better, because research shows that learning a new skill is much easier the younger you are.
Is it okay not to be the perfect student?
Your intelligence could have deteriorated after school, and while you once made perfect grades, you aren’t so sharp now; and that’s okay. It’s okay not to be the perfect student. As long as you try, as long as you want to learn new things, then who’s to say you’re not the next Einstein?
How are students taught how best to learn?
Students are never taught how best to learn. Educators just expect students to know how to best understand what they’re being taught. Education is generally pragmatic, wherein educators test students on specific things, and as such students will learn the specific things just for the tests, and often by rote memorization.
