Can the police tell you to leave?
If the officer tells you to leave because you’re disrupting traffic, the order is valid. If you are breaking the law in some other way, the order is legal. And if the officer tells you to leave because they disagree with your message, it’s void.

The most peculiar time that I’ve ever heard of in which police have the right to order you out of your house is when they have a valid arrest warrant but it has the incorrect address on it. So long as your address is on the warrant, they have the right to order you out of the house while they search.

The officer can serve time in prison, pay fines, and be on probation. However, general crimes are not the only things that a cop can do that would be illegal.
